A Public Open House will be held for the proposed mixed-use, two-building, multi-unit residential development housing the new YMCA Centre of Community at 1565, 1599 & 1601 South Park Street, Halifax (former CBC and YMCA sites).
With a planned commencement of early 2016, Southwest Properties and Streamliner Properties have submitted an application for Substantive Site
Plan Approval to the HRM Design Review Committee for review and approval of the qualitative design elements to the built form requirements of the Downtown Halifax Land Use By-Law.
These environmentally sustainable buildings will target LEED Gold certification and add needed residential density to the downtown core. The new YMCA Centre of Community will feature 70,000 sf of modern health, fitness & recreational program space available to all.
