Southwest Senior Leadership Team

Jim Spatz, Executive Chairman, Ben Young, President & CEO and Paul Murphy, Executive Vice President & CFO for Southwest Properties are excited to announce multiple role changes for the Southwest Senior Leadership Team, positioning the company for future growth. These changes include 6 exceptional leaders taking on new Senior Leadership positions at Southwest.

Jennifer Poirier has been promoted to Senior Vice President Real Estate. In her new role, Jennifer will lead Real Estate Operations across the portfolio, driving strategic initiatives to enhance operational value and growth. Jennifer has held various leadership roles within the company during her 20+ year tenure with Southwest. Jennifer’s profound knowledge of our business combined with her passion for collaboration and operational excellence, make her instrumental to Southwest’s success and future growth.  

Jody Sampson will be taking on a new role as Vice President Residential Operations & Customer Strategy. Jody will be responsible for Mixed Use Residential Operations including Cunard Residences, Curve, Pavilion, Bishop’s Landing and Maple. Jody’s responsibilities will include resident engagement efforts, driving sustainable value, and optimization of building management pro cesses. Jody will lead the development and execution of customer focused strategies helping Southwest deliver on our mission.

Lindsay Downie has been appointed to the role of Vice President Residential Leasing & Brand Strategy, where she will oversee Residential Leasing Operations for Southwest’s extensive portfolio. In this position, Lindsay will lead the development and execution of the Southwest lease-up strategy and revenue. Lindsay will also be responsible for enhancing Southwest’s brand strategy and maintaining her oversight of both internal and external marketing & communications for Southwest.

Jacqueline Ferguson will be taking on the role of Vice President of People & Culture.Jacqueline will be responsible for the development and execution of Southwest’s Talent Strategy, including employee engagement initiatives, total rewards, and payroll & benefits. In addition, Jacqueline will take on oversight for the strategic direction of the Information Technology department. Jacqueline’s role will be focused on maximizing organizational performance through human capital and technology investment. 

Leslie McIntyre will be taking on the position of Vice President & Group Controller. Leslie will continue to oversee the strategic direction of both Construction and Operations Accounting. Leslie is responsible for overseeing fin ancial operations for the Southwest Group of Companies, including maintaining fiscal integrity, financial performance, compliance, and internal controls. Leslie has been instrumental in streamlining processes and providing leadership in tax audits and regulatory compliance.

Alison Winsor will be taking on the role of Executive Assistant to the President & CEO, and Special Projects. Alison most recently managed the Cunard Office Fit Up Project, where she was responsible for the strategic oversight and general project management of the Southwest Office Transition. Alison will be taking on strategic direction of Southwest’s Fleet Management and will be responsible for leading the Southwest Administration team.
