THE WESTMINSTER received the National Renovation of the Year 2021 (Common Area) from the Canadian Federation of Apartment Association. In a national online awards presentation on May 6th, THE WESTMINSTER was judged on its overall creativity, efficient use of budget and final renovation appearance.
The judges selected THE WESTMINSTER as the winner, noting that “the repurposed hardware and materials was creative, original, tasteful and sustainable.”
This is a meanful award for Southwest as THE WESTMINSTER, built in 1920, celebrated its 100th Birthday last year. The building was also one of “Spatz Rentals and Real Estate’s” early purchases in 1966.
Congratulations to the Southwest team members involved in this project and Bruce Norman for design direction. It is wonderful to be recognized on a national level for the work Southwest is doing in Halifax.
